Scope Rings with no Screws?

Joseph Brazier, Ltd. presents today a new Scope Ring and Base design by Karl Lippard featuring no screws on the Rings…. but also none on the bases!!

The Scope Rings and Bases are Patent Pending.

Shown in prototype here is a special one piece Base for display supporting the first
“No Screw Scope Rings and Mounting Base” system ever made.

We actually don’t make a one piece base shown as the attachment angles are too critical for general use. This one was just made for test to check dimensions, functionality and for display.

Another view showing the clean lines of having no screws.

These Rings and Bases should be ready later in the year for sale to the public. 2 piece Bases are $89.95 and two piece Rings are $35.00. All are made of billet S7 VAC tool steel not castings. There is also a three piece Ring for special use and can also be fashioned to fit an array of scope shapes and sizes. But the main benefit is that one scope can jump from gun to gun; be removed without tools; and be disassembled or assembled with no tools as well.
Gunsmith fitting of a base fixture is necessary. I will set up a few dealers to do the install which should take little time if set up to do them. A flat receiver and a convex receiver take different shape installs.

Here shown is the rear locking mechanism. It has a pin that rotates (not shown) that locks the Base onto the Action of the weapon.

The Scope Base design does not invade the esthetics of the firearm and easily removed without leaving a Base behind to compromise the lines of the weapon. For pistol shooter with scopes, there is also a version for the “Combat NCO 1911 pistol” as well. Mounts for your pistol will follow for your pistol as well. To get on the list, send and email from the contact page giving the type of rifle or pistol you would like a base fitted to. When available for your firearm we will email you with that information.

At the SHOT Show in Orlando, FL in 2009 a number of Scope Base manufacturers were apprised of the new Rings and Bases. Many stumped faces on how the Scope Rings and Bases functioned. The precision they got however right away……(Smile) You could actually HEAR the brain matter churning! How’d they do that?? It was fun!

The Winchester Action the test mount is on, I also make. It is made of S7 tool steel. Its bolt handle is either one or two piece construction and also has no welds or screws.

Very, very clean lines. Take the Scope off and your gun looks beautiful without a Base being there.

This is the system of Scope Mounts and Rings for the Karl Lippard “one piece” SolidRifle called the “Daniel Morgan”. However, this system allows for a rifle so fitted to accept an array of scopes. Scopes in fact can be transferred to a machine gun all the way down to a fire extinguisher without a base in most cases remaining when removed. A military application if used say on a Browning M2 .50 cal, there is an adapter that fits on top with no screws making it, or any machinegun, cannon, or rifle ready for a Scope to be mounted to it, from any other weapon that has an optic with our mounts are attached. I always liked sniping with an M2. And this arrangement makes a sniper rifle out of every M2 in service in 4 seconds.

Do the Bases fit the M4? Huuuuum? Well they have added everything from a bicycle pump to a mortar on it now but if needed a modified base can be designed for it. In fact the Karl Lippard design of military semi-auto rifle this mount is already there. Never heard of it? Riiiiight!!!
To get our government to pay attention to an American designed weapon is nearly impossible. You must first be a Russian, German or Austrian gunmaker as nearly all our military weapons are now made abroad. The USA sponsors just about all economies BUT its own!! We have the best technology, creditable designs, a needy work force, but we have no ears in Washington. Soooo, to get this Scope and Base system on an American military arm likely I would have to sell it to H&K or Steyr. But you still have a chance on your favorite rifle. Just ask your favorite gunmaker to fit your rifle from the factory with the Lippard System and you are ready, be it German, Italian or Belgium. What American??? Well who’s left? Sharps? I think they will come standard on those. The new Whitworth, sure (Brazier made those locks and parts) Hawkin from Sharps? Sure. Ruger? Hard to tell there and Kimber don’t know, but you can try. Send them a note. It’s kind of like the Military Link, (Patent Pending) it makes all Model 1911’s last 1,000 % longer, provides greater accuracy but not a single maker of the 1911 could care less as long as the Gucci grips look good, the gun goes bang, and the customer has left the building. Scope Ring and Base improvement? A gun looks better?
The problem is there are but a few American companies left owned by American’s. Give the American’s a plastic trigger they say. Put tree bark on the stock and its done deal. American’s are fools, they say! Make SolidRifle, are you kidding?

All gunmakers except Brazier are still making a variation of a 1898 Mauser rifle design today with the only advancement being Casting of parts and a generous use of pot metal and some plastic. Why change a wooden wheel American’s will buy it!! Huuuum; really?

Your choice but the best guns of rifle, pistol and shotgun; gun designs, wood stocks; rifle, pistol and shotgun barrels; they are all American Patents and made riiiight here. Shoot a Karl Lippard designed product and know for SURE no one on this earth is in your league! And here is a simple way to tell:

Say , excuse me, do you offer “SolidSolid barrels” on your shotguns? Do you make a “SolidRifle” made of one piece? Do you offer 90 standard stocks on your shotguns? Do you HAVE a “military link “in your pistol? Are your guns made to accept “Lippard Rings and Bases” for your rifles? In the military do your rifles and pistols SWIM?
Are these terms American or Foreign?????
We rest our case. American’s rule technology. Spread the word. And uuuuuh, buy a Karl Lippard designed product!!! At Joseph Brazier, Ltd. we are proud to make and represent those designs. Products like no others ever made.
