Ammunition and Parts

I have been asked about ammunition and brass. Yes, we are in the process right now of finishing the Wood & Parts section. In that section we will list our ammunition inventory of rare and hard to find cartridges. As a sample, in Kynoch we have 375 Flanged Magnum, 425 Westley Richards my favorite, 450/400 NE 3″, 470 NE, 475 No. 2, 500 NE 3″, 577 NE 3″, 450 NE 3 1/4″ in brass.
In live ammo we have 275 H&H RM, 280 Rimless, 7 mm H&H magnum, 360 NE 2 1/4″, 375 Flanged, 10.75 mm Mauser, 450 NE 3 1/4″, 450/400 NE 3″, 450/400 NE 3 1/4″, 500/465 NE, 470 NE 3 1/4″, 475 NE 3 1/4″, 475 No. 2 NE 3 1/4″, 476 NE 3″, 500 NE 3″, 577 NE 3″ and others. About 12,000 rounds or so of these calibers. Many of these cartridges are Holland & Holland. Some Westley Richards, James Purdey and John Rigby. Some shotgun shells as well.
So look in the parts section for your needs which should be available to you shortly.

Now on the Parts, those span largely to parts we have already made and in inventory. We do and can, make all manor of rifle Actions as example. Any size. Custom orders normally are a quantity of 100. However, if we begin producing say Winchester or Mauser Actions, you may be able to purchase those one at a time.

It has been asked what type of steel do we use 8620? Well, 8620 is a case hardened material and not suitable for interchangeability. But you order it and we will make it. We would prefer so long as we are about it to make the Actions out of the finest steel on earth. What does S7 tool steel cost compared to 8620 a few dollars? More and more and especially your custom makers are going to demand proper steel and high tolerance components. Joseph Brazier intends to lead the way in the very best money can buy parts and components. We are however respectful to the needs of our clients and will sell and produce springs and items to suit their needs to assist in the maintenance of those guns made in the past. I do not anticipate casting of material for parts.

We will machine or sell existing components. If it has the Joseph Brazier name on it, it’s your assurance of the best available anywhere.

A question was also asked: “Can we get on a waiting list for an order of Actions” (Magnum rifle)? Yes you can, and that would be a good idea.

We will run perhaps 100 of anything we make in the way of Actions. Collective orders will generate a production run and those Actins disbursed accordingly. Magnum actions will run about $2,500.00 to $3,000.00 each depending on quantity. Material will be S7 unless specified otherwise. We can deliver those hardened or harden them after engraving for you if required. Cost for that is by the pound. So one Action or 50 will cost about $225.00 a run plus shipping.

And many times I am asked is gun parts all we make? No, we will make fishing reels or a rocket if the order comes in. Whatever can’t be made or can’t be done will interest us for sure. We have the most sophisticated set of fishing pliers for sale now on Joseph Brazier and pending time to pay attention, we will be producing fishing reels for the discriminating sportsman to be sure.
